Q & A
You've got questions, we've got answers!
-
What can hypnotherapy help with?
I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma-related responses, emotional overwhelm, panic and persistent stress patterns.
These often include overthinking, hyper-vigilance, emotional reactivity, and feeling stuck in unhelpful cycles.
-
Who do you work with?
I work with adults, and also with children and teenagers in specific cases where appropriate.
All approaches are adapted to the individual’s needs and emotional state.
-
What happens in a session?
I use multi-level communication, addressing both conscious understanding and unconscious processes. This means we discuss things that make sense to the conscious mind while also working at a deeper level using hypnosis, visualisation exercises, and other evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
-
How does hypnosis feel?
Most people describe it as a relaxed, focused state — similar to being absorbed in a book or daydreaming.
You remain aware of what is happening and can speak or stop at any time.
-
Is hypnosis safe and will I lose control?
You remain fully in control throughout the session.
Hypnotherapy is a guided process where you are aware of what is happening and can respond normally at all times.
-
Do I need to talk about my trauma in detail?
Not necessarily.
The focus is not on retelling events, but on changing the emotional responses and patterns connected to them.
-
How many sessions will I need?
Many clients notice meaningful change within 1–3 sessions, although this varies depending on the individual and the issue.
-
How long is a session?
Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes for adults.
-
Will I need to prepare?
No preparation is needed. Just come as you are.
-
How do I book?
You can book a free discovery call to discuss your situation and see whether this approach feels right for you.
